Third Grade

We want to welcome you to an exciting year of learning at Twin Oaks Elementary! We are thrilled to partner with you in your child’s educational journey and can’t wait to see all the growth, success, and memories this school year will bring.

This year will be filled with engaging learning experiences, school events, and opportunities for students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Some of our favorite activities throughout the year include Read Across America Week, TOES on the Road, Science Day, drama productions and performances, Field Day, Wellness Wednesdays, PBIS celebrations, family events, and so much more!

Communication between school and home is extremely important to us. Throughout the year, we will keep you informed about classroom activities, student progress, upcoming events, and important announcements. Please make sure you regularly check the following resources for updates and communication:

Graded papers and important information will typically be sent home each Thursday in take-home folders unless there are extenuating circumstances. Please review, sign, and return folders on Friday.

At Twin Oaks, we proudly implement PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to encourage and recognize positive student behavior. Students who demonstrate our S.T.A.R. expectations —
Show Respect, Take Responsibility, Always safe, and Ready — may earn Star Bucks and participate in monthly PBIS celebrations and incentives.

Academic Standards

All subjects are taught according to the Georgia Standards of Excellence. Our goal is for every student to demonstrate proficiency in these standards to ensure success throughout the school year and beyond.
