Principal's Message

Welcome to the Twin Oaks Elementary School family (TOES). Twin Oaks has the privilege of providing a positive learning environment for students in the West Zone in grades three, four, and five. I joined the Twin Oaks Elementary School faculty while student teaching in 2000. After graduating from Georgia Southwestern State University I began teaching at TOES and fell in love with the caring and supportive staff. I taught both 3rd and 4th grade at TOES for 5 years while earning my masters in Education from Troy State University. The next three years I spent in Lexington, Kentucky where I received my National Board Certification in Teaching. I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade before returning home to Twin Oaks in 2008. I was fortunate to return to 3rd grade and taught for two additional years before my placement as Assistant Principal in 2010. I earned my Leadership endorsement through Valdosta State University and my Specialist through Walden University. I continue to learn each day and believe everyone should be a lifelong learner. I have a supportive husband named David and three wonderful children- Katie, David, and Lilly.
